I am Ly A Pao, a Black H’Mong man born and raised in Bản Hồ, a small village in the mountains of Sapa, Vietnam. My childhood was shaped by misty valleys, rice terraces, and a life where having enough food and warm clothes was once a simple but distant dream.

Growing up in a poor farming family, I learned resilience early—working the fields, walking barefoot to school, and believing deeply in the power of education. Although my path later took me into the hospitality world and a five-star hotel, I realized my heart belonged elsewhere.

I returned to the mountains to become a local trekking guide—not to lead tours, but to share real life in Sapa. I guide travelers through quiet villages, terraced fields, and family homes, offering experiences rooted in authenticity, respect, and connection.

For me, travel is not about rushing from place to place. It is about slowing down, listening, and truly feeling the land and its people. This is the Sapa I know—and the Sapa I am proud to share.make your Sapa adventure unforgettable!
